Learn to Nuno felt an elegant and unique wrap or poncho.

Join us in the beautiful Creston Valley for two days of fun playing with colour, silk and wool!  Choose your colours to dye some amazing Margelan silk fabric, learn the nuno felting process and add surface designs with stamps and stitching.  If time allows you will also make some felt buttons and flowers for pins and closures to embellish your wrap.

Friday evening is a meet and greet and Saturday is wood fired pizza night at our host venue.

There will be lots of time to make friends, eat and make a one of a kind luscious felt wrap in a relaxed atmosphere.

All felting equipment and supplies for the workshop will be provided. You will receive a list of what to bring when you register along with recommendations for places to stay and the best places to eat in Creston.

Carmen Ditzler – Find me on a walk poking into nooks and crannies, pockets full of rocks and treasures.  Fascination with nature is at the core of my art- noticing textures, colours, and weird lines.  It’s been nine years now, captured by wool, making felt in a crooked little studio, heated by trees in the Kootenays of British Columbia.   Seeing what wool will do, what happens to the colour and the surface and the texture is endlessly fascinating.  I have taken workshops with some fabulous felt artists in person and online and made an infinite number of mistakes to develop my skills.     I have participated in local art shows, and for the last two felt:: feutre- canada exhibitions.

Andrea Revoy – I am a ceramic artist and and self taught fibre junkie. Dyeing…Spinning…Felting…Weaving…Knitting and Crochet. I love it all! I have even turned some crochet pieces into ceramic!

In ceramics, I love colours and layering different techniques to give depth to the surface. This also works with dyeing fibres with just as much fun a lot more instant gratification!

I search out high quality and unique fibres needed by fibre artists for the texture and lustre desired for beautiful hand spun yarns and felted projects. Quality workmanship, attention to detail and a sense of humour are at the core of all my work.

I can supply your habit.
